Mays reacts to Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson’s relationship drama by making a list of men she’s slept with.
When the topic turned to Megan Thee Stallion’s breakup from Klay Thompson, Mays spoke out on the “It Is What It Is” podcast, questioning the entire premise of their relationship’s longevity.
The rapper and podcaster seemed skeptical of the NBA star’s decision to settle down with the Houston native as her track record took center stage during the episode.
“What was she expecting?” Mace asked. He went on to suggest that Meghan’s fame preceded her, making the relationship’s failure almost inevitable.
“The whole idea of Megan Thee Stallion, I think her fame precedes her. And just because her fame precedes her, you don’t get good luck when things go a certain way.”
Camron chimed in with equal energy, listing her previous relationships with Pattison Fontaine, Moneybagg Yo, and Tori Craig, before Mays delivered the punchline: “Should he marry her? No, if that’s the list, he shouldn’t marry her.”
Meghan announced her breakup with Thompson on April 25, accusing him of cheating and “severe mood swings” before the pair split.
She wrote on Instagram Stories, “After all your horrible mood swings and the way you treated me during your basketball season, you’re frustrated and now you don’t know if you can be monogamous.”
The Dallas Mavericks player has never publicly addressed the accusations.
But Metz’s comments about emotional drama are not new.
Just last month, the rapper found himself in the middle of controversy when he and Shyne discussed their past relationship with R&B legend Brandy on the same podcast.
Mays joked about his overlapping history with Sheehan, saying, “I’m special. He comes in and wants to be special, so I have to make him special.”
The comments sparked a backlash from Brandi’s brother, Ray J, who threatened the entire group on social media.
“Don’t mention my sister’s name or I’m going to beat the shit out of you when I see you,” Ray J shot back, making it clear he wasn’t playing to protect his sister’s legacy.
It seemed like a travesty to the podcast staff that Mays was criticizing other people’s relationship choices when his own comments about Brandi had just caused major friction.
