Pat Stay is the center of the high-profile court scene in Dartmouth, as his official stabbing death at the 2022 second-degree murder trial officially began on May 13 in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, killing the combat rap idol outside the Halifax bar for nearly three years.
According to the Chronicle, the royal family said that the 36-year-old stayed shortly after midnight on September 4, 2022 and was stabbed less than two minutes after entering the yacht club social bar.
According to Crown, stayed for less than two minutes before encountering Drake and being stabbed into the chest.
Then a friend of Drake beats the accommodation, stumbles outside and falls down on the sidewalk. He later died in the hospital.
Drake, 31, was arrested six days later and charged with second-degree murder. He pleaded not guilty.
The trial was postponed eight months after its appointment as the bench and is expected to last until June 18.
The court was packed with arguments, and Stay’s widow Malyssa was obviously emotional as the royal family described the last moments of her husband’s life.
Video surveillance from inside the bar is expected to be the main evidence. The royal family believes the video clearly shows the stabbing and Drake’s involvement.
Pat Stay is a towering figure in the combat rap world, known for his keen wit and presence in commanding the stage.
He is a native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who has fought over 40 battles in several countries and has participated in major rap leagues and film projects. His death prompted widespread tribute from the entire hip-hop community, including from Drake and Eminem.
