Fans are still enjoying Kendrick Lamar’s surprising new GNX album, and some interesting theories about the LP are popping up. One in particular revolves around the censored lyrics in the song “Wacced Out Murals.”
Fans try to find missing lyrics to ‘Wacced Out Murals’
K-Dot caused a stir on the internet after releasing his new LP without warning on November 22nd. vandalized Kendrick Lamar mural over the past few months. On the track, Kendrick addressed Lil Wayne’s Super Bowl controversy, Snoop Dogg posted a diss about Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” on social media, and more. Several lines in the song were censored, leading internet sleuths to come up with some interesting theories about what the Compton, Calif., rapper might have actually said.
In addition to the expletives being removed from the song, almost the entire section was edited. “I paid homage, I always mind my business/I did…” Kendrick raps, leaving a blank slate for the rest of the lyrics. “I’ve never lost myself because of my rap image,” he continued later.
The second censored part of the song appears to be a name. “Giggle [blank] You all are on trial,” Dot spat.
Fans have been doing their best on social media to figure out the missing lines and guessing everything from J. Cole’s diss, Drake’s digs, Young Thug and Diddy’s names, and more.
