Producer Tay Keith was hit with a copyright lawsuit over Sexyy Red’s viral hit “Pound Town” and the track was pulled from DSPs within 24 hours.
The suit alleges Tay Keith’s beat infringes on an uncredited 2014 Memphis instrumental. Sexyy Red’s team says they’re “working to resolve” and get the record back up.
“Pound Town” was a Billboard Hot 100 entry and key to Sexyy’s 2023 breakout. Fans noticed it missing from Spotify/Apple Music July 1.
Tay Keith has not commented publicly.
