Ay Huncho’s bodyguard was kidnapped by five people, including a 15-year-old, in Sydney’s latest gang violence.
Ay Huncho is at the center of another violent attack in Sydney but this time it was his bodyguard who was affected and the latest controversy involves a child.
A 15-year-old boy is one of five people currently charged in connection with the kidnapping and assault of Emilio Chalhoub. Emilio Chalhoub is the rapper’s and alleged associate of Alameddine’s personal security.
The incident happened about 11:30pm on Monday when Chalhoub was forcibly removed from a home in Guildford, in Sydney’s west.
The masked assailants dragged him into his car, which was found partially burned a short time later in Villawood.
Police responded with heavy fire and Chalhoub was found about an hour later at a property in Casura with visible facial injuries. Police seized a gun, a baseball bat and other items during the raid.
The 15-year-old faces charges of kidnapping, as well as participating in and assisting a criminal group, blackening or disguising his face with intent to commit an indictable offence, carrying a weapon or driving a motor vehicle, possessing an unauthorized prohibited firearm and damaging property.
Four adult men were also charged, with two 21-year-olds and two 22-year-olds appearing via video link at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court.
All four were refused bail and the case has been remanded until June.
According to ABC News, prosecutors told the court that police have strong evidence that will only become stronger as the investigation continues.
This is not Chalhoub’s first encounter with violence related to Ahhencho.
A 15-year-old and a 22-year-old allegedly stabbed his father Bassam, 62, at the same house in Guildford last June, but Chalhoub is believed to have been the real target.
Detective Superintendent Jason Box noted Chalhoub was fully aware of the risks involved in his position.
The kidnapping is the latest escalation in a series of revenge attacks linked to Alameddine’s network and rival gangs over the past week, including shootings and firebombings.
Particularly striking is the police finding that young offenders with little to no criminal history are involved in these crimes.
oops Hong Qiao He himself has been part of the spreading feud on several occasions, including a shooting in September at a Merrylands home he was linked to, in which a 15-year-old child escaped unharmed.
The Children’s Court will decide how the juvenile’s case will be heard separately from the adult defendant’s.
