Drake fans bombarded Kendrick Lamar’s Instagram comments with ice emojis after the release date for Drizzy’s Iceman album was announced.
On Tuesday (April 21), after a publicity stunt involving Drake’s album release date being pulled out of a giant block of ice in Toronto, it was revealed that the highly anticipated LP will be released on May 15. With this information confirmed, many fans of 6 God’s decided to prank Kendrick Lamar.
As fans prepare for Drake’s comeback album, seven of K-Dot’s Instagram posts are filled with frozen emojis, which could reignite the feud between Drake and Kendrick as some fans expect the Canadian rap star to address Kendrick on the new project.
Delacre has been promoting his ninth solo studio album for over a year. Last March, he shared a cryptic post on Instagram about the project, leading many to believe he would continue to feud with Kendrick.
“You know I grew up non-confrontational and have always viewed this competition as a sport where my pen wins gold, but now it’s hard for all of us to ignore the podium,” Drake shared.
“I know this next chapter may be upsetting to you, but I hope you see that my honesty is clear, not charitable, and it answers some questions, especially regarding the unanswered text messages you sent me,” Drake added.
