Rapper Cae Cartier’s career may be derailed after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman named Jane Doe.
The woman claims the incident occurred during a trip to Miami that was allegedly arranged and funded by Geffen Records. The lawsuit also targets the brand itself, accusing it of enabling alleged misconduct while profiting from Cartier’s growing fame.
Doe said she was lured to Miami on the pretense of being an album cover model and was attacked in Cartier’s apartment.
Doe claims she received $1,000 for modeling work, which she allegedly received from Geffen. She took a two-day trip to Miami in April 2025 and had dinner with Cartier the night before the shoot.
She said she felt compelled to attend because of career opportunities and because her belongings were already at his residence.
The complaint details that after dinner, Cartier allegedly made unwanted advances in the car, including kissing and touching. After returning to his apartment, Doe said she fell asleep and thought Cartier would stay on the couch. Instead, she claims she woke up to find him forcing himself on her.
“Ms. Doe was awakened by the sensation of Cartier forcing her legs apart and inserting his penis into her vagina. She also discovered that her pants had been removed. This was unexpected as Ms. Doe was not a heavy sleeper and had not drank enough alcohol to “pass out” the night before. Still, she felt drowsy and not fully awake. ” Doe’s attorney, Adriana Alcalde.
“Ms. Doe recalled that she put her hands on his stomach and tried to push him away. Cartier responded by grabbing her hips, flipping her onto her stomach and penetrating her from behind,” Alkader added.
She claimed she was dazed but conscious and tried to resist, before Cartier rolled her over and continued the attack. Doe said she escaped to the bathroom and he followed her, exposed himself and refused to let her leave until she asked for her clothes.
She then locked herself in the shower and had a panic attack.
Cartier later filmed her crying and asking, “So did I force you?” but she still didn’t dare use the word “rape,” the lawsuit said. Doe said he blocked her exit, grabbed her arm and straddled her in the elevator while she sat there crying until she was finally able to leave.
Text messages cited in the lawsuit appear to show Cartier acknowledging the brand’s financial involvement. “I’m not happy that you’re asking the label to approve a bigger budget,” he allegedly wrote. “They’re just paying you $1,000 for basically nothing.”
The DOE is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as legal fees. Her legal team argued that Geffen not only funded the trip but failed to ensure her safety, making them complicit in the alleged abuse.
25-year-old Cae Cartier has gained attention with hit singles such as “Tuci,” “Smoke,” “Mozart” and “GO,” and has received co-signs from major artists including Chris Brown, Travis Scott and Quavo.
Documents show Doe previously filed complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Human Relations Commission in September 2025 and was issued a right-to-sue letter.
