A new extended series from Wakko the Kidd, a rapper and entrepreneur from Hollywood, California. In the summer of 2018, he introduced himself on his debut single “Multiple Racks,” and a year later he launched his own cannabis strain, Airheadz. However, in the summer of 2024, Insane Clown Posse signed him to Psychopathic Records and performed at many of their events, such as Gathering of the Juggalos or Hallowicked. Following their feature-length debut Airheadz We Trust earlier this year, The Kidd That Did are back.

“Food 4 Less” opens with a cold-blooded trap beat, talking about the insane amount of money he pays to perform live, while “Go Crazy” passionately devotes himself to anyone with a wage. “I Had To” maintains a standard trap vibe, telling the story of his journey from breaking into houses to signing with labels under the streets, finally leading into “Put in Work,” which blends elements of trap, cloud rap, and rock to discuss his constant hustle.

The second half begins with “Motel 6” reminiscing about the time he used to stay at the titular motel chain because he was so depressed during that period, while “Spring Breakers” talks about having sex with a bitch he met on vacation who took her on Easter vacation. The Kidd That Did’s “FWM (Fuck Wit Me)” near the end talks about coming from the ghetto, and the EP’s “Coast to Coast” ends with a discussion of his continued growing weed for customers across the country.

Some are starting to question Wakko the Kidd’s ability to carry the entire thing on his own, and considering every track on In Airheadz We Trust features guest stars, I think he listens to those criticisms, as The Kidd That Did is a bit of an improvement over its predecessor, although I think it’s on the same level of quality. The production of the trap is okay, but I give him credit for not having any features to stop the critics who doubt his pen.

Rating: 7/10
