Diddy’s attorneys said they were unable to reach him inside FCI Fort Dix, forcing them to seek more time as Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ civil lawsuit continues.
Didi’s lawyers said they couldn’t even reach him. But where is Didi?
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has asked a federal judge for more time because they have been unable to communicate with the mogul since he transferred to FCI Fort Dix, according to court documents first reported by AllHipHop’s Grouchy Greg Watkins. His largest civil case still hangs over his head and is pending. They need to talk to him.
Attorney Erica A. Wolff told U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken that the defense was unable to speak with Diddy before a key filing deadline in the Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones lawsuit.
“As the court is aware, Mr. Combs is currently incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix,” Wolfe wrote. “Mr. Combs’ undersigned counsel was unable to communicate with Mr. Combs at FCI Fort Dix prior to the impending deadline to file an amended defense and counterclaim.”
But—what happened to Didi? Couldn’t they have had someone in jail go to his cell and tell him he had a phone? I’m confused. Shouldn’t this be an easy job? What makes this case so different from the others? I wonder if this is a statement about Dee Dee’s safety or his mental state? I was really curious—even worried. Did something bad happen? Or is this a strategic thing?
The defense asked for a three-week extension, pushing the deadline to July 21. Now, it’s up to the judge to decide.
Lil Rod’s lawsuit is a separate civil case.
The “Love Album: Off The Grid” producer filed a lawsuit in 2024, making the wildest accusations of all. He accused Combs of sexual harassment, sexual assault, human trafficking, drugging his drink, forcing him to recruit sex workers, trying to pressure him into sexual encounters with other men through promises of career advancement and threatening him with violence.
Didi has denied the accusations from the start. But there is smoke! Lil Rod’s performance in Netflix’s Diddy Doc seemed believable to me.
Courts have dismissed multiple portions of the lawsuit, including civil RICO claims, breach of contract claims, emotional distress claims, and trafficking allegations against Combs Global, but significant allegations remain active. Trafficking charges against Combs personally, as well as charges involving sexual assault, remain pending in federal court.
Diddy’s legal battle is far from over. I just want to know what happened!
