Tinashe follows up “Nasty” with new single “Getting No Sleep”: Listen

Tinashe, currently all the rage on reels and TikTok (thanks to her hit single “Nasty”) is back with another hit song, “Getting No Sleep.” The artist once again takes an emotional approach to songwriting and delivers a radio single centered around another catchy hook and bridge combo.

However, it’s more understated than “annoying,” perhaps in the best way possible. The artist takes on a different role and talks about her new lifestyle, which makes it almost impossible to sleep. Tinashe rides an unconventional pop beat, featuring fast drum beats (often heard on more traditional drum and bass tracks), filling the stereo width with reverb-soaked riffs and delivering laid-back vocals. However, unlike DnB, the bass is minimal and the drums feel less busy, giving her plenty of space to do her thing without clashing.

The single is meant to continue the momentum from her last album while adding to the snowball effect ahead of the release of a larger effort titled “Quantum Baby,” which can be pre-saved here . The cover features Tinashe wearing red sunglasses and leaning in a car with fogged-up windows, further hinting at the pop star’s sexy brand image.

Of course, this is complimented by a series of photos that fans are talking about, and rightfully so. I mean, look at the confidence she exudes! This isn’t surprising, though, as the artist has been releasing music since 2012.

The artist was last seen chatting with Sway In The Morning’s Sway Calloway, who gave Tinashe her well-deserved flowers in recognition of her persistence in the industry. The two talk about her inspirations (from Janet Jackson), her definition of success, her thoughts on sexual liberation, and more. Check out the full interview here!

Now, we know you’re probably dying to hear her new music – but don’t worry, we got you. Check it out below!
