Big Tigger says he’s quitting radio to focus on his family and legal defense, while denying domestic violence charges stemming from his recent arrest.
Atlanta radio personality Big Tigger is taking a break from the air as he faces domestic violence charges and prepares to defend himself in court.
Darian Morgan, widely known as “Tigger,” announced on Instagram that he will be quitting the radio show to focus on his family while allowing his legal team to work on the case. The long-time broadcaster also reiterated his denial of the allegations against him.
“Since I’ve been in this industry, my focus has been on bringing attention to the culture and the incredible people I’ve interviewed,” Morgan wrote. “But now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”
He continued, “Throughout all of this, the most painful part is being away from my son. Nothing is more important to me than being a great father. So I have decided to take a break from the microphone to focus on my family and give my legal team the space they need.”
Morgan maintained his innocence in the statement.
“As I have said before, I unequivocally deny every accusation and I look forward to clearing my name. Thank you all so much for your love and support.”
Morgan was previously arrested by the Sandy Springs Police Department on charges of aggravated battery, battery and third-degree child abuse.

Morgan’s wife, Alicia Brown, told investigators the incident occurred during an argument at the couple’s home in May, according to an arrest affidavit. She claimed Morgan pushed her through the office door, causing a deep gash above her left eye that required stitches.
Investigators also said the couple’s 13-year-old son was upstairs during the argument and heard what happened. Authorities cited that allegation in support of a charge of third-degree child abuse.
Court records also show Brown obtained a temporary protective order requiring Morgan to stay away from her, her family and her children while the case moves through the legal system.
Morgan has publicly denied all accusations since the case became public. His latest statement marks the first time he has announced that he will temporarily step down from his broadcasting duties while the criminal case progresses.
As of this writing, no trial date or other court proceedings have been announced.
