Rick Ross sits down with Patrick Bet-David to discuss Drake, 50 Cent, his midlife crisis and his ambitious plans for billionaire status.
Rick Ross sat down with Patrick Bet-David on the latest episode of the PBD Podcast to discuss his long-standing tension with 50 Cent.
Rick Ross tagged the G-Unit boss, revealing they were never cool. He shared a story about taking his 50-year-old son fishing and offered to have his yacht cleaned by the G-Unit owner.
“I’ll have 50 people cleaning the bottom of my yacht. I don’t like to see any green on the bottom. He can put on scuba goggles, a mouthpiece, flippers, and he can flap like a flipper,” Rick Ross joked.
Ross viewed these remarks as a mockery of wealth and status and portrayed himself as financially superior throughout the exchange.
The Miami rapper then returned to a criticism he’s made repeatedly over the years: that 50 Cent allegedly doesn’t own key parts of his music and television catalog.
Ross specifically mentioned “Either get rich or die Tryin'” and the hit TV franchise “Power,” claim 50 Cent lacks ownership rights to both properties.
“He’ll get paid [for cleaning his yacht] Just like “power”. He has no “power”. He doesn’t own any of this. His album sales exceeded 10 million copies. He doesn’t own ‘Get Rich’ or ‘Try Life,’ which is why he never promotes it,” said Rick Ross.
Ross also refuted long-circulating reports about 50 Cent’s net worth, questioning public estimates of the rapper’s multi-billion fortune.
The comments were the latest escalation in a feud between the two artists that spanned more than a decade, which often included insults about business success, lifestyle and personal relationships.
