Quavo responded to Chris Brown’s recent dig at him, mocking the singer’s affair with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
In his new song “Tender,” the former Migos rapper hits back at Breezy by mentioning his history of domestic violence and drug abuse.
“You did that woman wrong, now that woman’s gone, she’s posting with a thug/Call that woman, she won’t come home, don’t hit her/Must be drugs, need to get your plugs out,” he rapped.
Later, Quavo seemed to confirm his relationship with Tran, spitting: “Tell me, little brother, what’s your problem? It’s done / You said it was bigger than that, but no, it’s not / It’s because of me Digging that one, it makes them hot/I give respect, but I know you don’t/Your bitch my neck, your bitch right there.”
Quavo was responding to Chris Brown’s comments about his new song “Freak” from the deluxe edition of his 11:11 album.
On the track, which also features Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas and Tee Grizzley, Brown says: “Well, now my fucking old bitch won’t let us be equal / Sip that 1942 song ’cause I Not being a Cuervo (Quavo)/freak, she prefers Casamigos to Migos.”
The issues between Brown and Quavo date back to 2017, when they allegedly got into an argument at a BET Awards afterparty.
The pair later sat together at a Paris Fashion Week event earlier this year, fueling speculation that they had reconciled. But Brown quickly denied this when he attacked Quavo after the show.
“Can’t choose who you sit next to,” he wrote in an Instagram comment. “Fuck that growth shit. N-gga ain’t rummaging through my bag for little n-ggas.”
Tran, who dated Brown on and off from 2010 to 2015, has yet to comment on those exchanges and has never confirmed her relationship with Quavo, which she previously denied to the media.
