Nigerian global star Patoranking is back with “Shake That” featuring Ruger, released via Amari Musiq/The Orchard.
The track is rooted in galala — the Lagos-born reggae-influenced dance movement from the ’90s — updated with “pulsating drums, infectious melodies, and undeniable energy” for 2026. Production comes from Yung Willis and Dwillsharmony.
The Dammy Twitch-directed video captures Lagos energy “from living rooms to lobbies”. This follows Patoranking’s run of singles “No Jonze” and “African Soldier” feat. Buju Banton, building to an album expected next year.
Patoranking also confirmed EU festival dates alongside the release, continuing Afrobeats’ global festival takeover.
