Brooklyn meets Copenhagen in Villano De Medianoche, a gritty new album that proves street energy doesn’t need a passport. NVY JONEZ LKR recorded 10 tracks at ARTILLERY Studios in Copenhagen in collaboration with Danish producer MACHACHA, who handled all the beats. The result is a raw, unfiltered journey through the seedy streets of New York and California, filtered through a European lens that somehow makes the boom hit even harder. From the menacing opener “VILLANO” with Bruxas Brew to the chaotic “ECW” (featuring ethemadassin, K.Burns, Lenox Hughes and Starz Coleman), this album never disappoints. Standouts like the Felix De Luca collaboration “STICK UP” and D-RELL and Rodey Cali’s Remedy-assisted “STREET POLITICS 4” capture the late-night, insistent and moving energy that the underground craves.

Production is the real backbone here. MACHACHA delivers a collection of dark samples, hard kicks, and minimal yet threatening loops, giving each presenter room to breathe while keeping the pressure high. Chop The Father’s “ORO ORO” is packed with hypnotic rhythms, while “Winterfell” lives up to its name with cool, cinematic tension. Shorter cuts like “UNO UNO” and the Amor Hitz-assisted closer “MEDIANOCHE” come quickly but disappear like warning shots. No filler, just ten rounds for the revolver. NVY JONEZ LKR holds its ground throughout, threading the needle between New York grit and international ambition. If you’ve been waiting for an album that sounds like it was recorded in a basement at 2am outside in the rain, this is the album for you.

Rating: 8/10 — A solid, no-nonsense underground album that delivers exactly what it promises: street politics, late-night vibes, and transatlantic chemistry. Stream it live below.
