LL Cool J talks Super Bowl halftime show selections

There was a lot of controversy surrounding Lil Wayne not being chosen to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans. On October 17, Fat Joe’s Starz internet talk show “Fat Joe Talks” premiered a new interview segment with LL Cool J. The 100% attitude was ignored by some.

The Queens, N.Y., native urged Wayne not to let the snub affect him.

“Wayne comes from a very proud state of Louisiana and a very proud city of New Orleans…but here’s the thing: your time will come and you will have your day,” LL continued . “You can’t let this break you. Ultimately, LL concluded, these are first-world problems.

“These are champagne issues,” he added. “Some people couldn’t listen to their demos. I think we were kind of spoiled unintentionally. It was like, ‘Yo, man. You’re a bad boy.’ Wayne was the best of the best.
