Lil Wayne, Grandmaster Flash and Charlamagne Tha God will receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the star-studded Class of 2027.
With the Class of 2027 announced on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, two more pioneers in hip-hop will be permanently etched in Hollywood history, with Lil Wayne and Grandmaster Flash both this year’s honorees.
Joseph Saddler, better known as Grandmaster Flash, will receive a star in the recording category in recognition of his pioneering role in shaping hip-hop culture and DJing.
Lil Wayne also earned a coveted spot in the same category, adding another milestone to his multi-platinum Grammy-winning career.
The announcement joins the hip-hop icon with an eclectic group of music legends, including Karol G, David Guetta, the late Waylon Jennings, The Ramones, Marc Shaiman, Sia, the Smashing Pumpkins and Linkin Park.

Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God will also receive one of the entertainment industry’s highest public honors. The “Breakfast Club” co-host was selected in the broadcast category, marking another major achievement as his career expands from radio to television, publishing and entrepreneurship.
Beyond hip-hop, the Class of 2027 boasts a star-studded cast that spans multiple entertainment fields.
In film, honorees include Cheech & Chong, Idris Elba, Sam Elliott, sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning (who will attend the dual ceremony together), Kate Hudson, Delroy Lindo, Sam Rockwell and Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos.
Television inductees include David Alan Grier, Lisa Kudrow, Bill Lawrence, Pedro Pascal, Adam Scott, Jeff Probst, Keke Palmer and Raven-Symoné.
The live theater and live performance categories recognized comedian Joe Coy, singer Nicole Scherzinger and ballet star Roberto Boller, while NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson was selected in the sports entertainment category.
Although the winners have been announced, the date for the awards ceremony has not yet been set. Each winner has up to two years after receiving the recognition to arrange their personal star unveiling.
