South London’s Dave just made UK chart history. His collaboration with Nigerian superstar Tems, “Raindance”, has officially climbed from No.2 to No.1 on the Official UK Singles Chart.
The No.1 gives Dave his fourth UK number-one single, making him the UK rapper with the most No.1 singles this decade. The track is lifted from his album The Boy Who Played the Harp.
“Raindance” didn’t just win in the UK. Globally, the Dave x Tems link-up has surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify, cementing it as one of the biggest UK-Afrobeats crossovers of the year.
The song debuted at No.2 before grinding its way to the top — a rare climb in the streaming era. Dave now sits alone at the top of the UK rap chart leaderboard for the 2020s, ahead of all peers.
With The Boy Who Played the Harp still moving and festival season active, Santan’s 2026 victory lap keeps going.
