Bro showed up on my timeline today because I thought of Jay-Z’s name.
The Brooklyn rapper didn’t hold back during a recent livestream on Friday (April 17). The tidbit was edited and spread so quickly. But anyone who threatens Jay gets our attention. Now, before we grab the Roc Nation pearl, let’s add some background information. Bobby is a former Roc Nation artist whose relationship with the label was…complicated. Fans have been rooting for him to make a strong comeback since his release from prison, but the results have been mixed at best.
This isn’t even his first public injection.
Back in 2025, Shmurda turned down Roc Nation, but later admitted he was drunk when he did so. Fast forward to now, and one wonders if he’s drinking again, or if there’s something deeper bubbling beneath the surface.
An Underground Nation post claims that Bobby hinted that he was “blacklisted,” but I don’t know. No one else is buying it either. They also think Bobby is Bobby.
As for Jay-Z, don’t expect a response.
