BNYX has produced records for Yeat, Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert and Nicki Minaj.
Hip-hop producer BNYX (Yeat, Drake, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Nicki Minaj) has signed a new deal with Zack Bia’s Field Trip Recordings and Capitol Records. As part of the deal, Yeat’s Lyfestyle Corporation will also partner with BNYX.
“BNYX is an exceptional musician, a true artist with a specific vision, but most importantly, an incredible human being,” Bea said. “Yet brought him into our lives and he became our family. As the first official signee to Lyfestyle Corporation/Field Trip/Capitol Records, it was up to us all to collaborate to bring his music to the world. We are very honored and excited.
The Philadelphia-born artist is said to be releasing his first project under the deal in the coming months, and is set to achieve blockbuster success in 2023 when he topped the Billboard Top Rap Producers chart with seven week. He will perform live for the first time at the Jack Harlow Pavilion Festival in May and will play a series of shows with Yette later this summer.

+ Samantha Sklar has been promoted to Vice President of A&R at Position Music.
Sklar’s most recent notable success is the signing of breakout songwriter Jack LaFrantz, who co-wrote the Hot 100 single “Beautiful Things” with Benson Boone. Sklar, who joined Position Music in August 2022, has played an integral role in helping build an A-list pop music release roster that includes Joe Kearns, Zach Skelton, John “Feldy” Feldmann, Alex “Abomb” Fernandez, and yet-to-be-announced member. Prior to joining Position, Sklar was an A&R for Warner Chappell Music Publishing and signed with Stephen Kirk, who co-wrote BTS’ “Butter”.
+ Joanne Denise Hunter and Renata Muniz, formerly VP of media and brand strategy at Def Jam Recordings, have launched a new media and brand strategy agency called Out of Office. Los Angeles-based Out of Office currently houses KenTheMan, Shanae and Genia.
Hunter is also the co-founder of Live Help Live, an independent record label representing breakthrough musicians such as Jordan Ward. Meanwhile, Muniz has over 12 years of experience in talent branding and media relations. She has managed campaigns for artists including Coco Jones, Alessia Cara, SZA and Prince Estate.
+ Bella Figura Music, the independent music publisher and record label founded in 2022 by Alexi Cory-Smith and Neelesh Prabhu, announced the acquisition of RAK Publishing (RAK).
RAK oversees 1,500 copyrights, including classic hits such as “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, “Kids in America” by Kim Wilde, and “Music” by John Miles .
Founded in 1969 by record producer Mickie Most and his wife Christina, RAK now represents over a hundred writers, including Ivor Novello winner Errol Brown and BASCA Gold Badge winners Steve Harley and Suzi Quatro.
+ Reservoir Media, Inc. and Big Life Management, a Reservoir company, have announced a series of major promotions for Big Life. Kat Kennedy, Colin Roberts and Claire Kilcourse have been promoted to partners, with Kennedy taking on the new role of managing director.
During his 18 years at Big Life, Kennedy rose from entry-level positions to general manager, a position he held for 12 years. Roberts began working at Big Life as an A&R talent scout in 2007, bringing in artists such as La Roux and Sound of Arrows, who became the first of many management clients of his own.
Kilcourse served as a management assistant from 2010 to 2012 and returned to Big Life in January 2017 as artist manager.
+ Portland-based independent record label Really Rad Records has launched an online fundraiser to help the company get back on its feet after its headquarters burned down last month. ally Rad provides PR, booking and advertising services to artists, as well as production and distribution in physical formats such as vinyl, CDs and cassettes.
Donations will be used to restock items, starting with the most recently arrived item and working backwards, as well as any refunds customers may have for damaged items.
“The investigation is still ongoing, but it is believed an electrical fire started in an outlet in our living room and was caught on fire by some cardboard shipping supplies,” the company said on its GoFundMe page. “Plus we have thousands of vinyl sheets on our shelves. Records, in less than 90 seconds the fire became so intense that our home was filled with black smoke, windows were cracked, and the stairs outside our apartment leading to our upstairs neighbors were completely engulfed in flames.
The news comes as Mississippi Records, another independent record store and label in Portland, was burned down last fall in alleged arson.
+ Milk & Honey Music + Sports + Ventures President and Founding Partner Lucas Keller announces the acquisition of VMG Sports, the company founded by NFLPA Certified Agents Adam Heller, Michael Simon, Greg Diulus and Sammy Spina, who will now join Milk & Honey executive staff .
With this new agreement, Travis Kelce, Paris Johnson and a total of 15 NFL players will join the Milk & Honey family, joining an existing client roster that includes Courtland Sutton (Denver Broncos) and Kamren Curl (Los Angeles Rams) wait. The firm currently represents a total of 83 football and baseball players.
Founded a decade ago by Keller and managing director/business partner Nic Warner, Milk & Honey entered the sports world three years ago to focus on growing the business beyond music stores. Milk & Honey’s music department consists of songwriters and record producers as well as nearly 30 DJs in the artist department.
+ Media, marketing and management company Jensen Communications, Inc. has named Leo Lavoro senior vice president of communications and media strategy. In his new role, Lavoro will provide strategic direction to the firm’s clients in the PR, marketing and brand-building areas.
He will report to Michael Jensen, president and founder of Jensen Communications, Inc. (JCI).
