There’s a new beef in town. Shaquille O’Neal has released a diss song directed at Shannon Sharpe.
The whole story started with Shannon accusing Shaq of being jealous of Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, who just won his third NBA MVP title. During an interview with Jokic on Inside the NBA on May 8, O’Neal told the three-time MVP that he believed the award would go to Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Some fans thought the comment was in poor taste. Shannon took the opportunity to criticize Shaq, saying on The Nightcap Podcast that O’Neal was jealous of the Nuggets center winning his third MVP award. “Shaq should have five MVPs,” he said. “He sees a guy like Nikola Jokic, who wasn’t as dominant as he was, got three in four years.
If only Shaq would have had North Carolina’s moral values 🤔 @ShannonSharpe @ochocinco @GilsArenaShow @ShayShayMedia_ pic.twitter.com/1PeqWlKnCD

O’Neal later sent Sharpe a long message on Instagram. “You see me supporting @shai as jealous?? Shows how smart you are and how you can say anything to get clicks.
