PnB Rock Murder Trial: Day Two
Meanwhile, the ongoing PnB Rock murder trial was taking place simultaneously in the same building during a juvenile court hearing.
During the trial, jurors were shown a series of horrific images showing Locke’s blood smeared on the walls and floors inside Roscoe’s institution. One of the first police officers to arrive on the scene described providing aid to the late rapper as he took his last breaths.
The officer also testified that when soldiers loaded Rock onto a gurney to take him to the hospital, the rapper had a gun in the waistband on his back.
The placement of the gun on Locke’s back is notable given that Throne’s attorney argued last January that his client’s son may have fired out of fear. “From the restaurant cameras, it was unclear what Mr. Trone was doing with his hands after his son approached him. [The son] “He may have feared for his life,” defense attorney Winston Maxson wrote in a motion to dismiss the charges.
In addition, medical examiner Dr. Juan M. Carrillo also testified that PnB Rock was shot three times: in the chest and twice in the back.
Carrillo said one of the bullets actually entered the rapper’s body in the upper right side of his back before exiting his front and re-entering his neck, fracturing his jaw. Prosecutors asked whether the gunshot wound to the back was consistent with the gunman standing on PnB Rock. Carrillo said he wasn’t sure.
