50 Cent had a surprising answer when asked about the leaked sex tape of the mother of Diddy’s son Daphne Joy.
50 Cent screened his Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning at Wild Cherry restaurant on Tuesday (June 2) in New York City. During the Q&A session, Phife was asked what he thought about the leaked sex tape of Diddy, his ex Daphne Joy, and a male sex worker.
In a video posted on the @premierepass Instagram account, Fif was vocal about his feelings about Daphne’s involvement in the illegal video.
“We haven’t had any close contact in 12 years. No matter how much I care, she can go out with the dog,” he said, eliciting shocked reactions from attendees.
50 Cent added that he hopes to include Daphne in Diddy’s documentary because, according to him, she will be the only person in Diddy’s “Freak-Off” sessions who isn’t a victim.
“When we think of women, we think of women empowerment, but let’s not forget that there are also some hoes… [and predators],” he said. “So there are people out there looking for these things. They’re looking for this,” he added.
Fife’s comments prompted an even stronger reaction from the crowd.
Alexander Stapleton, the director of the bragging documentary, eventually stepped in to provide more context, adding that Daphne was approached to be a part of the project, but she ultimately turned it down.
Daphne, for her part, posted a lengthy statement on Threads regarding the “Freak-Off” video.
“Everyone plays dumb sometimes, and I’m the biggest fool,” she wrote in her statement, which can be viewed below. “I just want my man to be happy and content at that moment…I want to grant all of his wishes. Even if it means breaking my own boundaries.”
There’s no love lost between 50 Cent and Daphne Joy. Although they share custody of their 13-year-old son, Sire, their custody battle has been going on for several years.
