21 Savage returns with new album What Happened to the Streets?
The Atlanta rapper returns with his fourth solo studio album on Friday (December 12). The new project has a total of 14 songs. Drake, Lil Baby, Latto, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, G Herbo, Young Nudy and Jawan Harris feature on the Slaughter Gang rapper’s latest album. 21 announced the album earlier this week by posting a black and white trailer for the film on Instagram.
The album’s cover art is an original painting by British-Nigerian designer and artist Slawn, which was directly inspired by Kerry James Marshall’s “Portrait of the Artist as Shadow of His Former Self”.
Slawn’s limited edition CD is a four-part series of alternating covers. Originally priced at $9.98, with only 2,100 uniquely numbered copies made, dealers have begun selling 21 CDs of Savage’s new album on eBay for $999.
What’s happening on the streets? is 21 Savage’s follow-up to 2024 album American Dream, which earned 133,000 equivalent album sales in its first week and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
