A witness scheduled to testify in Young Thug YSL’s RICO trial insists he may die from his illness if he is forced to testify.
YSL witness claims testifying could kill him
The trial of Young Thug YSL began its 132nd day in Fulton County Superior Court on Wednesday (September 18). During the hearing, Judge Paige Rees-Whitaker heard from a lawyer for a man set to testify at the trial, who told the court his client had been hospitalized and was receiving heavy medication, adding Said he was so sick that testifying against him could kill him.
“He’s in a situation where if he’s put under pressure he’s going to collapse. It’s going to be a crisis and he’s going to come back [in the hospital],” the lawyer told Judge Whitaker. “I talked to him,” the lawyer continued. “He made a statement ten years ago. He said, ‘Sometimes I don’t remember what happened yesterday. “So, he’s in a bad situation.
Chief prosecutor Adrienne Love disputed the attorney’s claims. She told the court she spoke to the witness’s doctor who said he was ill but fit to attend court. Judge Whittaker allowed witnesses to testify and put a medical team on standby, but this only caused his lawyers to redouble their efforts to no avail.
“That’s good,” he added. “As long as the court understands that if he was forced to come here and get into crisis, he could die.”

YSL RICO trial progresses slowly
The YSL RICO trial is already the longest in Georgia history, and the saga is far from over. Most recently, star prosecution witness YSL Woody carried much of the trial. He had previously provided information about Young Thug to police during multiple interviews, but he seemed to have done everything he could to incriminate Thugger on the witness stand. At one point, he even claimed he had lied to Thug about previous conversations with authorities just to get out of their way.
