So far, Ye’s only take on the current Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud is that he purged Kendrick on “No More Parties in LA” and on “Freedom” a few years ago Larry Hoover” concert purged Drake. He made those comments on Instagram, but this afternoon he made his stance even clearer with a new song.
Ye jumped on Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That,” attacking Drake and J. Cole in the process. Before the verse began, he said “We’re gonna take this motherfucker, I got you,” before mocking Drake’s record deal, which is reportedly worth $500 million. “This is a n*gga package, where’s Lucian? Serve your master, nigga, you caught a little bag for your master, didn’t you? Lifetime contract, I feel bad for the n*ggas”. Later, at the end of the verse, he says, “Play J. Cole and get your vagina dry.” Meanwhile, there was also a tweet directed at Cole.
Those who are attentive will remember that this is not the first time he has attacked both Drake and J. Cole. In 2020, he demanded an apology from the pair and addressed them on an early version of “What Will Meek Do.”
