Fans are excited about Lifetime’s new documentary “Where’s Wendy Williams?” Even before it’s released. Early previews gave viewers an up-close look at the characters’ most vulnerable moments. She opened up about her financial woes, conflicts with employees and more. To make matters worse, Williams was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia in 2023, just days before the first episode of the documentary was released. Of course, this sparked more suspicions that the icon was being taken advantage of by the producers, although they denied knowing about her diagnosis before filming.
Last month, Williams’ interim conservator, Sabrina Morrissey, filed a lawsuit against Lifetime’s parent company in an attempt to prevent the doctor from coming out. Ultimately, her attempt was unsuccessful. Now, however, previously sealed lawsuit documents have been released. The documents reveal details of Williams’ current situation and Morrissey’s arguments.

Sabrina Morrissey claims Wendy Williams needs daily supervision
Wendy Williams and co-host Patti Hansen attend Wilhelmina’s 50th anniversary celebration in New York on November 14, 2017.
Morrissey claims in the lawsuit that Williams was incapable of handling his own business affairs when he signed the contract. She also said Williams was unable to fulfill her role as executive producer and ensure she was portrayed in a dignified manner. According to her, Williams requires ongoing supervision to “ensure her safety, well-being and comfort and to maintain her dignity.”
Morrissey insists the documentary was pitched to her as an uplifting comeback story. She also claimed she believed she had the opportunity to watch the final cut before it aired. Obviously, that didn’t happen, and countless fans and peers thought producers soiled the beloved talk show host. What did you think of Where’s Wendy Williams?
