Tyler, The Creator’s new album “Chromakopia” tops the Billboard 200 chart, setting a record for its highest first-week sales.

On Sunday (November 3), Billboard released its latest Billboard 200 top 10, showing that Taylor’s new Chromakopia album took just five days to reach the top of the chart. The former Odd Future frontman has sold 299,500 albums, including 66,000 vinyl records. The album’s official on-demand volume reached 212.55 million times.
This is Taylor’s third consecutive No. 1, following 2019’s “Igor” and 2021’s “Call Me If You’re Lost,” both of which won Grammys for Best Rap Album Award. This is Taylor’s biggest first week yet. His previous highest first-week record was “Call Me If You’re Lost,” which sold 169,000 copies in its first week. Taylor’s new album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red, GloRilla, Teezo Touchdown and others, and is produced and arranged by Taylor himself.
To promote his new album, Taylor will embark on the Chromakopia World Tour starting in February 2025 with Lil Yachty and Paris Texas. It then ends in Perth, Australia on September 4th.
Other rappers in the top 10 on this week’s Billboard 200 include Rod Wave (Last Lap, No. 5), Eminen (The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), No. 6) and GloRilla (Glorious, No. 10 ). Yeat scored its first No. 1 hit last week with the Lyfestyle album, but it has now dropped out of the top ten.
