President Donald Trump called Nicki Minaj “sexy” and a “good friend with common sense” while speaking at a White House Rose Garden Club lunch.
On Monday (July 6), President Trump spoke at a luncheon in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, D.C., celebrating the launch of a new investment program for children, “Trump Accounts.” During his speech, the president paid tribute to several people, including longtime supporter Nicki Minaj, who was in attendance.
“We also have a woman who is so respected, so sexy, such a great woman who is a good friend of mine – and I don’t mean conservative – I’m talking common sense,” he told the crowd.
“She’s an amazing person, she’s a woman that everyone respects. She has real talent, Nicki Minaj,” he continued.
“Nikki, please stand up. He is a great man and respected by everyone,” he added.
Following the president’s shout-out, Nikki earned a standing ovation from luncheon attendees. The New York rap star, who wore a pink summer dress, would later post several photos and videos of her visit to the White House on her X account.
In one photo, Nikki posed next to Trump in the Oval Office. “Wow!!! #WhiteHouseBarbie with her favorite president ever,” she captioned the image.
It’s no secret that Nikki is a major supporter of President Trump. Back in December 2025, the 43-year-old Rymer praised the US president at a Turning Point USA event hosted by Erika Kirk, the widow of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed at a TPUSA event in Utah in September 2025.
“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president,” Nikki told Erica. “I don’t know if he knew it, but he gave a lot of people hope and a chance to beat the bad guys. Win, keep your head high, keep your integrity.”
