This hinge date ended up being a failure, but at least the girl made some new friends! Kim explains why she didn’t feel anything about the date and why it got worse. The film raises questions about what is ethical and what is fair game when dating.
“Objectively, I know it’s not that crazy, so I’m lucky this is my ‘worst date,'” Kim (@kimaybe_2) captioned the video. Viewers generally agreed with King on how “crazy” the man’s actions actually were.

Kim is done with the Vegas dating scene, and so are several viewers of her videos. “It’s so hard to date in Vegas right now,” she says at the beginning of the video, explaining her craziest date ever. She said she and Hinge Match decided to go out to the taco place to get some food. When she got there, the man was already sitting at the bar eating tacos. Jin thought it was strange, but didn’t think much about it.
“Five minutes later, he made a comment about a ring I was wearing… He literally said, ‘Oh, that’s a beautiful ring. Which of your boyfriends bought it for you?'” Kim recalled. She said she responded by explaining that she bought the ring herself.
“I actually hate this comment…so, that’s the first one,” King said.
She said that midway through the date, two women sitting next to her asked her to take their picture. Kim agreed and walked with them to the door of the restaurant. But when they got there, the girls revealed that they didn’t actually want to take pictures and just wanted to share with Kim that the guy had just gone on another date before her at the same restaurant and that he gave off a weird, creepy vibe. King said she thanked the girls for letting her know about the situation and exchanged phone numbers with them.
“You know, part of me respects the hustle, but I personally would never consider going on two dates in a row,” Kim said.
She then continued dating, eventually decided she didn’t like the man, and they broke up. She said he offered to walk her to her car, but she didn’t feel comfortable with that. Instead, she hangs out with the women who warned her about him and has a great time. As of this writing, the video has received over 90,200 views and nearly 8,000 comments.

“Consent to a Vegas date is horrible,” one comment said.
“The first thing is he eats before you get there,” another said.
“He created his own little speed dating…eating and was immediately rejected. I just think it’s rude the way it happened. You make new friends though! Love that,” someone else said.

Is stacking dates a good idea?
To be fair, this guy isn’t the first to book back-to-back dates – in fact, it’s a trend. If you search for “stacked dating” on TikTok, you’ll get several accounts of people doing the same thing. However, why do people do this? Is this a good idea?
Stacked appointments is a term used for scheduling multiple first dates. According to an article in Psychology Today, its biggest advantages include saving time and maximizing the number of people you meet.
“One might say that dating is just a numbers game—if you see enough candidates, you’ll stumble upon the one who’s perfect for you,” the article says. The article also cites the ability to instantly compare and contrast dates and decide faster which person might be a better fit for you.
However, there are of course disadvantages. Psychology Today notes that date stacking takes the fun out of dating and turns the excitement of meeting new people into a to-do list that needs to be checked off. This makes dating focused on maximizing efficiency, not necessarily spontaneity. Or, worst case scenario, you’ll get caught like Kim’s date.
Overall, stacking dates has risks and can take away the fun of dating, but it can also help us find time to connect in today’s busy lives.
