Spotify is celebrating its 20th birthday today (April 23), and to make it special, they’ve released lists of the most streamed albums, songs, artists, and more.
“For the first time, we’re revealing the most streamed artists, albums, songs, podcasts and audiobooks in history,” the streaming giant said in a statement. “These lists are based on years of listening experience by hundreds of millions of fans, and they capture music and stories that not only break through but stay, becoming part of everyday life around the world.”
This is the definitive survey of what fans have listened to on Spotify since the company launched 20 years ago, and captures data through April 2026.
Taylor Swift was named the platform’s most-streamed artist of all time, followed by Bad Bunny and Drake. Not many surprises there. Bad Bunny’s monster album “Un Verano Sin Ti” is the most played album on Spotify, while The Weeknd’s 2020 hit “Blinding Lights” tops the list of most played songs.
