“Tuscan Pleather” began by talking about his extraordinary status, while Shyheim’s sole single “Krayzie, Layzie, Flesh, Wish-N-Bizzy” served as a tribute to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. “Lump Sum” starring Jehst and King Grubb mentions 2-time WWE Hall of Famer, former 6-time WWE Champion, 2-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, 2-time WWE United States Champion, 5-time WWE Tag Team Champion and NWA World Tag Team Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin, while “BOGOF” talks about the literary practitioner.
Last month’s As Serious as Your Life 2 felt more like a single with a B-side than a true EP, so I was happy to see Rob Ford go a little longer. While it doesn’t put it in the same conversation as “Chinatown Chicken” or “Otolan & Armagnac,” I’m sure many fans of the latter will still be pleased with it, considering how well it recreates the chemistry between Lee Scott’s production and Sonny Jim’s unique lyrical style.
