The 2026 BET Awards golden carpet was packed with entertainment industry celebrities, including hip-hop stars such as Baby Keem, Latto, Doechii, 2026 XXL freshman Miles Minnick and Trap Dickey.
Comedian Druski hosted the annual awards ceremony on Sunday (June 28) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, focusing on Black excellence in music, film and culture. In addition to some key performances, the night also featured powerful tributes to Lauryn Hill, who won the Living Legend Icon Award, and Teyana Taylor, who won the Icon of the Year Award.
Before taking the stage to perform a tribute to Ms. Lauryn with SZA, Doechii took things back to the early days when she walked the carpet in a dark brown crochet dress from Dsquared2’s Spring 2006 collection. She also won the BET Her Award for her collaboration with SZA on “Girl, Get Up.”
Miles Minnick, who was nominated for the Best New Artist Award, went a step further, using dark striped long-string suits and black berets as inspiration for the Harlem Renaissance style. His companion, 2026 XXL Freshman Trap Dickey, looked more casual in a leather jacket with a tie and buckles, paired with sunglasses, black pants and a belt.
Lato, who made her first public appearance since giving birth last month, wore a see-through black Lily Pellera corset that showed off her back.
Just before the show opened, TI walked the carpet as a family with sons King and Domani. Tip opted for a custom gray suit, Domani opted for a Canadian tuxedo and a pair of Timbs, while King kept it more casual with zip-up leather pants and sneakers.
Baby Keem wore a suit with a yellow tie on the carpet before performing with singer Momo Boyd.
