I hear a lot of talking outside! Sources claim that Drake is gearing up to give Kendrick Lamar his all-out blowback, and it’s all said to be happening during Cinco de Mayo. Now, I’m not one to delve into Kendrick Lamar’s personal life, but from what I understand, his fiancée or wife is of Mexican descent. So if this rumor holds true, things could get uglier and dirtier soon.
I can largely believe this because I don’t see Drake giving a shit about it. A recent AllHipHop poll (apparently unofficial) showed Drake trailing significantly in this battle. The impact of his song “Family Matters” seemed to have diminished when Kendrick Lamar fired back in just 10 minutes. “Meet the Grahams” sucked the air out of the room. This quick reply all but confirmed that there was a mole in Drake’s camp.

It also gave me some inside information – Drake must be furious about this betrayal. Obviously betrayal was alleged, but it’s clear someone leaked information to Kendrick Lamar that allowed him to drop “Meet the Grahams” in record time. He totally stole the show. Last night, the internet went crazy with these tracks and all the buzz surrounding them. We are witnessing a battle of unprecedented proportions!
I wouldn’t say it’s as crazy as Nas and JAY-Z, but it definitely gives off that vibe. In this day and age, we see responses and rebuttals that Nas and Jay could never do.
If Drake drops another song, Kendrick won’t necessarily respond, although I’m pretty sure he has something up his sleeve. Trying to be objective here, but it looks like Dot has a comfortable lead. Drake is definitely driving traffic, so that could be his strategy, but to me, it’s just different. By the way, Drake just mentioned the names of Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, and more on “Family Matters.” Will they come in? Only time will tell.
