Despite Roc Nation’s strict public denial earlier this week, media executive Ray Daniels publicly doubled down today, August 14, 2026, on claims that a Jay-Z album is actually complete and tucked away. On The Morning Hustle, Daniels said “I heard it with my own ears, it’s done, they’re just playing chess.”
Daniels originally claimed August 9 that Hov’s LP was mixed and mastered but held up by sample clearance. Roc Nation issued a formal denial to Billboard August 10 saying no album is complete. Daniels now says Roc Nation is doing damage control and the album will drop Q4 with a Beyonce joint tour. No evidence provided, but clip hit 2M views.
Fans are split between believing Daniels and calling it clout chasing. Jay-Z has been spotted in Brooklyn and London studios, but has not commented. Dame Dash mocked the rumors earlier saying Hov’s peak was 30 years ago. With 4:44 now 9 years old, anticipation remains high regardless.
