Chance the Rapper seemed to offer his own advice to the Black community in an unreleased song he recently shared.
Chance posted the clip in an Instagram post on Tuesday (March 19). Along the way, he provided little information about the track’s official release. He does, however, make two suggestions in the verses he briefly presents as to possible courses of action for black people. More specifically, the Chicago MC seemed to express his belief that people of color need to take up arms and organize rather than get caught up in the current democratic election cycle.
“I won’t tell my n### ’cause to vote / I won’t tell my n### ’cause to go broke / I’ll just tell my n### ’cause get the gun, I’ll just tell my n### as Resistance,” he said in part.

The post’s comments section received support from artists like Quavo, Ty Dolla $ign, Quentin Miller, and even Chance’s brother Taylor Bennett who wrote “SHEEEEEEEESHH” in the comments along with a fire emoji. Again, while it’s unclear exactly when or if the song will be released, this post comes after Chance recently appeared on the NBC game show Password alongside Keke Palmer and Jimmy Fallon. Additionally, the clip comes after he announced that he would be bringing #TeamChance to the latest season of The Voice.
