The Butler County District Attorney told NBC News that one spectator at the rally died and another was seriously injured. NBC News confirmed the shooter was dead.

Meanwhile, BBC.com spoke to a man outside the security perimeter who claimed he saw the gunman before he opened fire on the rally.
