Quincy Brown’s relationship with his biological father has been well documented. The actor and singer has spent much of his life with Diddy as his father figure, an image that has been maintained in light of recent accusations against the mogul. Quincy sided with Diddy and even showed up to show his support. However, in the midst of Diddy’s drama, Quincy found time to do two things. He paid tribute to his late mother and shaded his biological father in the same Instagram post.

Quincy Brown posted a throwback photo on November 15th. “I miss you every day,” he wrote alongside a heart emoji. The article’s sincerity is tested, especially for Porter. However, it was the mention of Al B., of course, that got fans’ attention. The first part of the caption reads: “Here’s a rare photo of me and my mom and dad.” Seems innocuous until one realizes that Al B. Sure is nowhere to be found in the photo. Quincy Brown blames his biological father for being absent during his childhood.

Quincy Brown continues to support Diddy

Tensions between Quincy Brown and Al B. Sure are particularly high in 2024. posted a cryptic message on Instagram, alluding to Diddy’s parenting experience. “Nothing breaks a father’s heart more than seeing his love for his children turned against him,” he wrote, before the comments section was flooded with users criticizing Sure himself for being a bad father. It probably didn’t help that Quincy Brown wrote an open letter to the singer in 2019, criticizing him for being an absent father.

Despite these issues, Quincy Brown claims that he still maintains contact with his biological father. He recently spoke about their relationship on Angela Yee’s “Lip Reading Service” podcast. “He often tries to do ‘dad stuff,'” Brown admits. “But that doesn’t seem like that’s really where we are in life. Like, we’re more important than anything else.” Al B. certainly doesn’t win over his son by playing Diddy, that’s for sure. The singer hinted that the bad boy mogul was responsible for putting him in a coma in 2022.
