Pooh Shiesty is accused of having an “inappropriate relationship” with a supervisor while under home quarantine, which directly led to his actions on the day Gucci Mane was allegedly robbed and kidnapped.
According to court documents obtained by XXL on Friday (June 26), federal prosecutors said the rapper had a personal relationship with at least one case manager at Volunteers of America (VOA), the nonprofit that oversaw his home confinement following his 2022 federal conviction on conspiracy and drug trafficking charges.
The employee allegedly entered unauthorized passes into the system, which allowed Vinnie to travel to locations outside court-mandated restrictions. The inappropriate behavior reportedly continued on the day of the Gucci kidnapping, with the employee entering three different day passes and contacting Vinnie nineteen times in one day.
VOA has since fired the employee, the document said.
Pooh Shiesty’s attorney Kent Schaffer released the following statement to XXL in response to the allegations.
“We do not believe there was anything inappropriate about our client’s relationship with any house arrest supervisor. It was not the reason for his trial and was merely a distraction.”
Despite the alleged help, documents say Vinnie still managed to commit at least four documented violations, including providing a cold urine sample in November 2025 but being recorded as a refusal, missing a urinalysis appointment in January 2026 citing a lack of transportation, failing to attend a biweekly check-in in March 2026, and again claiming transportation issues weeks later.
Pooh Shiesty remains in jail awaiting trial for his role in the robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane and others at a Dallas recording studio in January. Vinnie continues to push for bail. His trial is not expected to take place until February 22, 2027.
