Voletta Wallace, the mother of the infamous Big, passed away.
Biggie Smalls’ mother died Friday morning in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, according to Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanak (TMZ). She was 72 years old at the time and the cause of death seemed to be a natural cause.
After Biggie died in 1997, she successfully maintained her property and celebrated his life. In 2005, she wrote a book titled “Biggie: Memoirs of Voletta Wallace” and remembers her son Christopher Wallace, also known as the infamous Big”
In 2009, she also served as producer of the biopic “Noble” and Angela Bassett played her role. She explained in an interview while visiting the scene every day that the final product surprised her.
“[it] It makes me angry and makes me sad. I learned a lot… about my son – a lot of things I never knew. But I still love him because he comes from here [gestures to heart]. ”
