Nicki Minaj publicly accused longtime friend Rah Ali of betrayal in a scathing message on Wednesday night (October 29), marking a dramatic fallout between the two women who were once considered close friends.
Ali published a lengthy open letter on X (Twitter) directly confronting Minaj, accusing the rapper of betraying her and spreading false rumors that could damage her reputation and livelihood.
“Nikki, I have always been loyal and true throughout our friendship,” Ali wrote. “While you are not being rewarded for doing what you are supposed to do, you certainly should not be punished for it. Even though you are going through a tough time right now, I cannot allow you to destroy me and the business I built.”
In the same message, Ali expressed her heartbreak over what she said was Minaj’s empowerment of others to spread damaging lies. “You empowered and allowed others to spread deplorable lies about me, defame my character and throw away friendships,” she added. “It’s one thing to be lied to by someone you don’t know; having it come from you is unimaginable.”
Ali didn’t stop there. She addressed Minaj by her full legal name, Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, and demanded that she either provide evidence of the accusation or apologize.
“If any of these allegations were true, our conversation would be very different, wouldn’t it?” she added. “Produce evidence or an apology, not sensational headlines. Go offline and ask for help. Take back your peace, your time and your crown.”
Tasha K hints that Rah Ali stole from Nicki Minaj
The exact nature of the charges remains unclear. Minaj has yet to publicly respond to Ali. The rapper’s recent statements did not indicate a direct conflict with her former friend.
However, Ali’s announcement coincides with a post earlier this month by gossip blogger Tasha K, who claimed that Minaj’s former assistant Khadeeja leaked private information to Raheem Ali.
The post, which was filled with lewd comments and suggested Khadeeja had given Ali Minaj’s Apple ID credentials and financial details, sparked an uproar.
While the post was filled with unsubstantiated claims, Arie’s public statements indicate that she believes the rumors have taken on a life of their own – with Minaj’s alleged involvement making them personal.
Nicki Minaj and Rah Ali once had a close relationship. Ali appeared in Minaj’s “No Frauds” video and has stood by her in public feuds, apparently intervening during the infamous Cardi B incident at New York Fashion Week in 2018.
At the time, Minaj praised Ali’s loyalty and tenacity, saying, “Rah really, really beat Cardi up really bad. Rah beat you up really bad, and I’m so mad at Rah.”
Mina added, “La held her head and punched her eight or nine times and I could hear it – it was the hardest punch you’ve ever heard in your life.”
Now, that same loyalty appears to be fractured beyond repair.
As of Thursday morning (October 30), Minaj has yet to respond to Ali’s post or the accusations circulating online.
