The Trump campaign is defending Nicki Minaj after comments suggested her support may be tied to her man or her brother.
Nicki Minaj’s political alliance with President Donald Trump always seemed a little different. But a Trump adviser is now rejecting the idea that her support came with strings attached. We’re still skeptical about it, but they’re calling for the cap.
Rocker Linda Perry appeared on the Pop Shop podcast and suggested that MAGA Minaj’s support may be transactional.
“She seemed to want something from the office. And was trying to help herself, a friend, a boyfriend, whatever. And got some commitment and felt like it was worth the risk – acceptance, you know,” Perry said on the podcast.
Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz knelt in Minaj’s defense.
“This is the disgusting and disgraceful slur that every Democrat and Trump critic is spreading about @NICKIMINAJ,” Brusewitz wrote on Twitter (which I always call Twitter). “Nikki has never asked the president for anything. She has simply provided help and support. To suggest she is seeking anything in return is complete rubbish.”
This is the disgusting and shameful slur being spread by @NICKIMINAJ by every Democrat and Trump critic.
Nikki never made any demands of the president. She just offered help and support. The hint that she’s looking for anything in return is totally… https://t.co/0gqjwP9oJO

Just relax, bro.
We know Nikki has a lot of problems.
Her husband, Kenneth Petty, was later subject to sex offender registration requirements after being convicted of attempted rape in a 1995 case involving a 16-year-old victim when he was a teenager. Nicki’s brother, Jelani Maraj, was sentenced in 2020 for predatory sexual assault of a child. Man, what a mess. But they said there was no exchange at all. According to rumors, Geelani is still in jail and Petty appears to be back in a cabin in Queens.
There is currently no public evidence that MAGA gave her any illegal support, legal remedies, favors or interference. not yet.
For now, the public war seems to be all bullshit, and the midterm elections are just around the corner. Once again we see who is who.
