With just two months left in 2024, the release schedule for new hip-hop albums shows no signs of slowing down. October is also shaping up to be a month of hot releases, following September releases from rappers Future, LL Cool J, DaBaby and more.
Rod Wave makes another album in the final lap
Rod Wave has been producing albums since 2017.
The album’s release comes as Rod is celebrating his latest sales certification. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Rod’s 2023 album Nostalgia has been certified platinum (one million copies sold). Additionally, four of Lord’s previous albums have achieved platinum sales. The 26-year-old artist currently has 51 new gold and platinum certifications in 2024, placing him among the top 40 most certified artists.

GloRilla is about to hit the big time with debut studio album Glorious
Following the release of her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang in April 2024, GloRilla is looking to make a splash with her official debut album Glorious on CMG/Interscope Records. The Memphis rapper revealed the album cover on her Instagram page back in September, confirming it would be released on October 11. The artwork features a photo illustration of a young Glo rocking gold hoop earrings.
Big Glo is eager to drop “Glorious,” which she declares is a classic.
“Listen to my album from start to finish and wow, I really made a classic album [four teary-eyed emojis and two hearts on fire emojis]”, GloRilla wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Dej Loaf Is Ready for Fall Album End of Summer
After a four-year hiatus, Dej Loaf is back with a new album and subsequent tour to support her project. On September 27, the Detroit native announced the title of her new project, titled “End of Summer,” on her Instagram account. The first single from the album is the sexy rap ballad “BNB”, which will be released on October 11th. Watch the video below.
Additionally, Dej shared news about her previously postponed Where My Fans tour. “Try Me” Rhyme announced that she is adjusting her tour dates and adding more cities to her schedule. Dej plans to release an updated schedule after her album is released.
“Patience is a virtue!” she wrote in the IG post below. “For those of you who stayed with me until the wheels fell off, it’s over and I can’t wait to see you soon!”
