The past four months have energized hip-hop. Rap continues to be hot with new projects from the likes of 21 Savage, ScHoolboy Q, J. Cole, Future and Metro Boomin. With May just around the corner, here’s new music from Ye and Ty Dolla $ign, 4Batz, Lil Jon and more.
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 2 album
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign team up to release their third consecutive Vultures series. Despite the pushback, Vultures 1 released some standout tracks in February, such as “Carnival” featuring Playboi Carti and Rich The Kid, and “Talking” featuring North West. The second title in the album series will be released this month. “Condor 2” has also experienced delays and is expected to premiere on May 3.
Originally planned for release in March, Ye and Ty had two months to continue polishing the album before its release. The song “Everybody”, which samples Charlie Wilson and the Backstreet Boys’ classic song of the same name, may appear on the LP, as it was not on the V1. What has been confirmed is the album cover, which depicts a masked Ty holding a picture of his incarcerated brother TC.

U Made Me a St4r EP by 4batz
Every year around this time an artist takes over the game, and this time it’s singer 4batz. He is about to release his first EP “U made me a st4r”, which is full of action. Seemingly appearing out of nowhere, the Dallas native’s R&B-inflected album count is minimal but packs a punch. “Act 1: Stickerz ’99,” “Act 2: Date@8” and “Act 3: About God? (She Likes)” earned him millions of streams and attracted the likes of Ye and Dre Gram’s attention.
The Toronto rapper hopped on the remix of “Second Act: Date @ 8” and signed with 4batz to release a new EP via his OVO Sound label. “U Made Me a St4r” will be released on May 3rd and will likely include three of the breakout star’s previously released works, in addition to his new work “Act 5: There’s Another Vase.”

Lil Jon’s Manifest Abundance album
What to do calmly? Lil Jon has turned down the volume on his signature phrase from his latest album. In February, the 50-year-old rapper released Total Meditation, a 10-track album in which he calmly guides listeners through meditation exercises. He’s bringing that same energy to Manifest Abundance, a new record he plans to release this month.
The upcoming project is touted as “an affirmation of personal growth,” which is in line with Jon’s current mindset. “Work work work πͺπ½Physical, mental and spiritual growth ππ½β¨,” he tweeted several photos of himself working out in the gym, a week after announcing the album’s impending release. Get ready to manifest with Lil Jon.
