Kanye West is back in focus, not in the new album – his messy personal life, mental health struggles and ugly consequences with Kim Kardashian take the lead in a original new document called “Who’s Name” and will be released in theaters on September 19, 2025.

A trailer for the six-year project, directed by Nicolás Ballesteros, dropped Tuesday and has left people talking about it.

The camera is filled with emotional roller coasters, tense moments and jaw-dropping comments Kanye says, such as: “I would rather die than take medicine.”

The film explores Kanye’s long and chaotic bipolar journey – although now, he says he’s misdiagnosed and actually has autism.

King also popped up in the trailer, obviously exhausted and emotionally excited, telling you, “A few years ago, your personality wasn’t like that.”

Ballesteros has captured over 3,000 hours of video over six years, from Sunday’s service rehearsals to his failed presidential campaign, and anywhere in between.

“It was initially a silent observation that evolved into a profound journey of artistic and personal growth. Immersed in your extreme world, he witnessed the testimony of glory and collapse, victory and turmoil, but also observed the paranoia and intensity that increasingly shape your world.”

The doctor showed his marriage collapse, public collapse and his ongoing tug of war with the drugs. He admitted that at one time, “I’ve been taking the medicine for five months.”

This movie has nothing sugarcoated. It is raw, unfiltered, allowing the audience to sit in chaos. There is no narrator. No rotation. It’s just that you are you – sometimes geniuses, sometimes spirals, always unpredictable.

It also revisits the main moments of Kanye’s career between 2019 and 2024, including Jesus as King, Tangda and Tangda 2 eras.

There are also footage of him walking through his childhood home in Chicago, reflecting on his roots and everything he lost.

There is no news about whether Kanye gave this green light, but the camera talks to itself.
