A delivery worker filed a negligence lawsuit against Ne-Yo on August 5, 2026, claiming she was mauled by the singer’s dog because he failed to restrain an animal known for aggressive behavior. The suit, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, alleges the incident occurred July 15 at Ne-Yo’s Atlanta home during an Amazon delivery. The worker claims she suffered lacerations and PTSD.
Court documents state the dog, a Cane Corso named King, had previously bitten a landscaper in 2024 and was known to roam the front yard unleashed. The plaintiff is seeking $500K in medical expenses and punitive damages. Ne-Yo’s attorney responded that the singer “was not home” and that the gate was marked with “Beware of Dog” signage.
The case is the second animal-related lawsuit against an R&B star this summer, following Chris Brown’s similar case in June. Legal experts say Georgia’s strict liability dog law could favor the plaintiff if prior aggression is proven. Ne-Yo has not commented publicly, but is expected to file a response by August 20
