Nate Dogg’s son Naijiel Hale escalated over Latoya Calvin over controlling the millions of dollars in inheritance of his late father, asking a California court to dismiss Calvin’s latest legal motion.
Hale, the son of a legendary hip-hop artist who did not leave the will in 2011, strongly opposed his father’s legacy Calvin’s recent attempt to further delay the settlement of Nate Dogg’s complex legacy, based on.
Hale and Calvin disagree on the lucrative music rights to sell Nate Dogg, currently worth $3 million to $4 million, according to court documents.
Rather than extending the legal battle, Hale proposed an alternative plan to simplify the process: creating a limited liability company (LLC) managed by music supervisors to protect the collective interests of the heirs.
Hale insists that most beneficiaries support the recommendation. However, Calvin and another party who asked not to be named have not signed it yet.

Hale publicly expressed his frustration on social media: “They want us to sell my dad’s catalog for 4 million million because he decided to marry AB*TCH, and he never served him from the jump. Pray for what I’ve really dealt with over the past 14 years, because I’m going to blow the whole S ###. That’s not even half of it…”
Hale’s lawyers strongly criticized Calvin’s attempt to expand court participation, writing: “Naijiel disagrees with the proposal because it only extends the long-term overdue closure of the matter. The estate has been open for more than 11 years. Ongoing court oversight is not in the interests of the beneficiaries, nor is it the role of the court in managing royalties indefinitely.”
This latest conflict marks another chapter in the Tensor Legend, which has bothered Nate Dogg’s family since his death.
Calvin recently advocated for the appointment of music industry manager Brian Shafton to oversee the estate, a move that has not been universally approved by other heirs.
Court documents further complicate things, suggesting that Nate Dogg is actually nine kids, not six, and multiple former partners, including Rhoda Mouton, Omena Norris and Shereda Williams, who entered the competition to seek child support.
