Moneybagg Yo isn’t hitting the gym, and he made sure to remind everyone with his latest post.
The rapper posted a series of photos and a video on Instagram on Wednesday (July 1) showing off the fruits of his labor – a stark contrast to his pudgy frame during the competition.
“Ian will never stop,” he wrote in the post.
Barger, who has been on a fitness journey for a few years, told Men’s Health in 2023 that a large part of his motivation comes from browsing social media.
“I get jealous because I’ll scroll through Instagram and see people working out,” he said at the time. “They were in great shape and in good shape. I would say, ‘I want that.’ It just motivated me to go to the gym and stay in the gym.”
In the same interview, he said he tries to exercise three to four times a week, combining strength training with cardio—especially in the sauna—something he apparently still practices today.
His fitness journey also required changes outside the gym. Bugg is candid about adjusting his eating habits after years of touring left him prone to relying on fast-food junk food. Instead, he’s turned to cleaner options in recent years, adding more fruit and protein shakes as well as lean proteins like chicken breast.
