Lil Wayne has revealed that he is not engaged and recently split from his rumored fiancée.
Weezy shared a blurry video on Instagram on Sunday (July 5) in which he clarified a few things, including his relationship status.
“I want to clarify something,” Turnage said. “No, I’m not engaged. It’s a beautiful thing that I’m with an amazing guy. But, obviously, with the availability of today’s crazy world and the temperature of the culture, I don’t think I want to be a burden to such an amazing guy. So, we’ve decided to break up.”
“This is it,” Wayne wrote in the post’s caption.
The New Orleans rapper is rumored to be engaged to Madi Cannon, 23, of Kokomo, Indiana. Just last week, they were photographed together looking like a happy couple. Now, it looks like Lil Wayne is single again.
In addition to this revelation, Wayne also revealed the reason for his absence from the Carter Classic Tour’s first date in more than 20 years on June 30 in Bangor, Maine.
“Listen, I have epilepsy, I have seizures, right?” Wayne explained. “Thank God I haven’t had a seizure in several years, but seizures have triggers. The trigger for my seizures was a severe migraine, and I had a severe migraine that night.”
Tour dates have been rescheduled. Wayne’s tour will resume on July 16 in Des Moines, Iowa.
