Lil Novi, son of Lil Wayne, gave up a new song to pay tribute to his father and Playboi Carti.
The 15-year-old aspiring rapper will be remixed “Like Weezy” on Carti’s new album “Music.”
Lil Novi released his tribute track “Very Like Weezy/Bby Weezy (Remix)” on Tuesday (March 25).
The teen also teased the upcoming music video for release “Next Week.”

Lil Wayne and singer Nivea’s youngest son Lil Novi have been steadily building his own rap career and appearing with his father on projects like “Ceilless 3”.
In a 2024 interview with Atlanta Flophouse, Lil Novi made headlines when comparing Carti with his legendary father.
When asked who he thought was the greatest rapper of all time, Nove initially replied: “Obviously, my father.”
But, he quickly added: “But to me, I would say, because Carti is like Wayne now, so, Carti.”
The host retreated to Novi’s comparison, prompting the young rapper to clarify his statement.
“If you really like thinking, he’s there,” Novey explained. “He got to that level. He did crazy numbers.”

Lil Novi’s comments reflect the growing sentiment among young hip-hop listeners who see Playboi Carti as the defining artist of their generation.
Born in November 2009, Lil Novi is the youngest of Lil Wayne’s four children, joining siblings Reginae Carter, Dwayne Michael Carter III and Kameron Carter.
Despite his smallness, Novey has begun to carve his own musical path, inspired by his father’s extensive catalogue and contemporary artists like Carti.
Novi previously said he favored Lil Wayne’s recent music and named Tha Carter V one of his favorite albums.
